On Blankets, Tables and Picnics

It is summer time and there is nothing on our minds but picnics, day trips and more picnics. Of course, going out on picnics require that you make a lot of decisions and strategic planning. You need to decide whether you want to have a large picnic and invite all of your friends and families, or simply have a cozy picnic with your intimate friends and family. Planning this part will enable you to know how many people are attending your picnic and what kind of accommodation you will need for the picnic.

After knowing so, you can then decide if you only need picnic blankets or would you require picnic tables so that your guests can be better seated. If you are not sure which you want to use, here are some considerations that you need to make:

In planning your picnic, you need to consider the type of seating arrangement that you want to use for you and your guests. There a couple of factors that needs to be considered. For instance, how many guests will be attending your picnic? Picnic tables are available in various shapes and sized and some are designed to seat six to eight people comfortably without their elbows rubbing against each other. If the picnic that you're organizing is quite large, then you should have enough room to seat all your guests at a table. You can then decide if you are going to buy new picnic tables, or simply ask your guests to bring extra garden chairs. You can also prepare additional picnic baskets for extra guests.

If the weather holds out and the ground is dry enough, picnic blankets are the best way to go. Often, you may find that using picnic baskets are a lot easier and more convenient especially if your picnic requires that you travel to a certain location. Picnic blankets do not take too much space in your car. Couple's picnics are best with picnic blankets so that they can sit together to create a more romantic ambiance. Picnic blankets are indeed the best substitutes for picnic tables because you don't need to purchase new ones for these. Your old blankets and bed sheets can be used as picnic blankets and they could work just as well as new ones.

Take note though that picnic blankets does not suit everyone. There are a lot of people who are afraid of creepy crawlers that is why they are much more comfortable in chairs than in sitting on the ground. Also, elderly guests, disabled and obese individuals may find it hard to sit on picnic blankets. If you are fond of picnics and plan to hold one every now and then, then picnic tables are wise investments. If you're dining with your family and the weather is nice, you can sit out with your kids and husband/wife and enjoy a nice meal outside. This is simply fun and you can bond with your family while having a fun day outdoors.
